Oxymoron. Teenagers are young adults. They are men and women. There is no such thing as a teenage girl.
Dude... They call them teenagers cause of their age. Daddy, chill...
Same way: WHY DO THEY CALL THEM KIDS?! THEY ARE MEN AND WOMEN, right?! ...
Aren't you goin too far?
Teenager is derived from the adjective teenage, which is named after the suffix -teen appearing in the numbers representing ages 13 to 19 and forming the name of said numerals
Same in my language: we call them "nastolatki" because each number between 11 and 19 ends with "-naĆcie" - this is where "nasto" took its origin.

So... Teenage woman? That's the point? Teenager doesnt say anything about the sex, so they used "girl" for that. And i dont see anything wrong with that. Most od people would call teenagers boys and girls - what's wrong with it?
You're from Poland, right?
Your country doesn't have the problem that my posts address. That's why you don't see what's wrong with it. Things are different here. We have a real issue.
